About Amy

Balanced nutrition is essential for our health, well-being and performance! As a registered dietitian (RD), I work with clients to help them manage nutrition-related conditions (for example overweight, obesity, and diabetes) and teach them how to to fit healthy food and nutrition into a busy life. In addition to nutrition counseling, I write cookbooks (the third was published in the spring of 2017) and consult in the field of nutrition. Previous consulting projects include writing a nutrition guide for IKEA, and I'm currently the nutritionist for Honeybrains, an NYC restaurant with a focus on brain wellness.

Amy's Background

After growing up in Sweden, Amy came to the United States after high school to attend Wellesley College. She received her medical degree at the Sahlgrenska Academy in Göteborg, Sweden, and thereafter returned to the United States. Health and wellness were always a part of her life – she is a former elite gymnast and 5-time Swedish Champion of Rhythmic Gymnastics. Working in obesity research opened her eyes to the need for scientifically based nutrition counseling. She pursued her M.S. in Human Nutrition, and completed the requirements to be a registered dietitian. She is now settled in Philadelphia, PA.
